Ken with a giveaway for a horror flick, that takes a new spin on the vampire tale, titled THE SHED. AICN is giving away 1 Blu-ray and 2 DVD’s thanks to RLJE Films.
THE SHED follows a story reminiscent of THE WOLFMAN rather than your typical long fanged flicks. A hunter gets bit in the forest by something that explodes once the sun rises. Our hunter has a new allergy to the sun after the bite and seeing what happened to that last guy he finds a place to hide in a local shed.
Stan and his grandpa live on the property with the shed and find mowing the lawn to be a lot more complicated than the pre-vampire days. There’s a bully, a girlfriend, a poor dog, and Stan’s best friend who’s got darker ambitions with that shed. All culminating in a pretty damn entertaining horror movie.
That’s pretty much what you get. Everything feels like an 80’s homage and the fresh take makes where this is heading unknown. It’s a fantastic add to any horror collection.

My favorite vampire is probably Severen from NEAR DARK. When he struts into the bar and starts bashing the local hick’s. You can’t help but side with the vampire. Maybe it’s just Bill Paxton’s undeniable charm. Maybe, it’s deep down, we all want to be a vampire. Well, until the complicated stuffs.
THE SHED is available on DVD and Blu-ray on January 7, 2020.
