A whole bunch of Star Trek news came out of SDCC today with not only the reveal of a teaser for season 3 of Star Trek Picard but a Trailer for the third season of the fan favourite Star Trek Lower Decks! While the teaser for Picard doesn't show any actual footage it gives us a great look at some cool new uniforms and a decent idea of the look and feel of the new season. Lower Decks on the other hand went all in with tonnes of new footage from the entire season and news that the show would cross over in a season two episode of Strange New Worlds which is going to be directed by none other than Jonathan Frakes himself. Season 3 of Picard stars Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Jeri Ryan, Levar Burton, and Michelle Hurd. In contrast, Lower Decks stars Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noel Wells, Jerry O'Connell, Gillian Vigman, Eugene Cordero and Dawnn Lewis. Lower Decks will begin airing on August 22, 2022, on Paramount + and Picard in early 2023. check out the trailers below and let us know what you think in the talkbacks!
