Watch Spike Jonze's "THE NEW NORMAL" A Short Film About Ending the Prohibition of Marijuana!

Hola Dannie aqui,

Today I am sharing with you all a short film by director Spike Jonze titled "The New Normal" it is a two minute short advocating for the legalization of marijuana aka the devil's lettuce. Spike Jonze is known for his groundbreaking music videos and films such as "Being John Malkovich," "Where The Wild Things Are," "Adaptation," and the Oscar-winning film "Her."

The short film is described on Vimeo as-

"Welcome to The New Normal, a journey through America’s complex history with cannabis. Directed by Spike Jonze."

"Learn more about George Washington’s hemp production."
"Explore the policies of Stop and Frisk and mandatory minimums."
"Learn more about “Reefer Madness,” and other government sanctioned propaganda."
"Find out about more about the treatment of military veterans."
"Learn more about the cost of prohibition and the black market."
"Discover cannabis’ role in the countercultural movements of the ’60s and ’70s."

Well, how many of you out there in cyberspace agree with Mr. Jonze? I love that he included a head nod to Reefer Madness and he makes a valid point arguing for the end of the prohibition of Marijuana in all fifty of the United States, in my humble opinion. Also, the short was beautifully made and almost pops out of the screen giving us an almost three-dimensional effect. Nicely done Señor Spike and here's to fighting the good fight!
