3 FROM HELL Trailer Answers A Burning Question!

Rob Zombie delivered on his promise today and dropped the full trailer for 3 FROM HELL! While not much in terms of story was given away, it does answer one very important question. How can there be a third film when we watched these characters die at the end of “The Devil’s Rejects?”

Well fellow horror geeks, we finally have an answer! (Slight spoiler ahead if you havn't watched the trailer.)

It appears that the 3 main characters, Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Baby Firefly (Sherry Moon Zombie) and Otis B. Driftwood (Bill Mosely), somehow managed to survive the bloody shoot out after all, as most guessed, and spend some time recovering in a hospital before standing trial for their crimes.

No surprise there, but what else can we gather from the footage? Well, for starters, this might not be some “normal” recovery. The trailer opens with a news reporter telling the people in TV Land that “the search for the fugitives known as the Devil’s Rejects resulted in a violent clash with police and chances of survival are a million to one.” OK, interesting… but stay with me here.

A few scenes flash quickly before you can really make them out. One is the police log of Baby’s wounds, one stating that Captain Spaulding remains in a coma and one showing Otis with the caption “Satanic Recovery.” See the screenshots below.

So, it looks like their recovery might not be so straight forward and this film may very well delve back into the supernatural, as “House Of 1000 Corpses” did.

Awesome! I’m with it, bring it on!

It looks like the film will keep the gritty, grindhouse feel of “The Devil’s Rejects” and I think that’s the right choice. It works for these characters and my hope is that 3 FROM HELL will take some of the supernatural elements from the first film and blend it with the grindhouse style of the second.

Look, I’m pumped for this film. I just want it to answer one simple little question that’s been bugging me for oh, I don’t know, like 14 years. What the hell happened to Dr. Satan? A scene was cut from “The Devil’s Rejects” that would have addressed this question and damn it, I want answers!

That’s all for now folks, but as always, comment below! Until next time, keep on geekin’ on my friends!

“I’m just a clown, dancing for the sins of mankind.” – Captain Spaulding.
