Today I bring you the trailer for "Mega Time Squad" a fantastical comedy from writer/director Tim van Dammen (stars in the awesome film "Deathgasm" and wrote and directed "Romeo and Juliet: A Love Song"). The film has garnered applause from film festivals in the UK, Canada, and Germany and has yet to announce a theatrical release.
Director Tim van Dammen describes the film as "A small-town criminal finds an ancient Chinese time-travel device that can help him pull off a heist and start a new life-but he may not survive the consequences of tampering with time. The Castle meets Looper, Mega Time Squad is a study in high-meets-low, combining elements of the sci-fi, the crime thriller, and the comedy to make a comedy heist film with a time-traveling twist."
Dark Sky Films describes the film as-
"From the FX creator of Deathgasm. A low-level criminal from the small town of Thames in New Zealand steals an ancient Chinese time-travel device that helps him pull off a heist and start a new life. But he may not survive the demonic consequences of tampering with time."
The "Mega Time Squad" stars Anton Tennet ("Legend of the Seeker," "September" and "Romeo and Juliet: A Love Song"), Jonny Brugh ("What We Do In The Shadows"), Hetty Gaskell-Hahn ("Shortland Street"), Arlo Gibson("Spartacus"), Milo Cawthorne ("Deathgasm," and "Ash Versus Evil Dead"), Eru Wilton ("The Last Saint"), and Simon Ward ("In A Flash"). I hope this film gets distribution here in the states and if any of you out there in cyberspace have seen it shoot a review to us and maybe we'll post it! Overall this film looks like it could be fun, I would give it a chance.
