Mike Judge’s Tales from the Tour Bus gets funky on Cinemax!

Howdy y’all! McEric here with a heads up on a show returning this Thursday! Mike Judge is back on Cinemax this November with the second season of his animated anthology of the untold stories of music’s outlaws, “Tales from the Tour Bus”. The inaugural season showcased tales from notorious country-and-western performers such as George Jones, Waylon Jennings, and Blaze Foley (whose biopic from director Ethan Hawke is currently garnering rave reviews). This go ‘round, Judge turns his focus to another subset of musical bad boys, the pioneers of funk.

Check out the teaser trailer:

Funk music is a goldmine of historical significance, and Dave Chappelle has proven that anytime Rick James is involved in a story you’ve got a doozie coming. The animation is slick, and partnered with Mike Judge’s unmistakable voice, this season looks to be like a good time.

So what do you all think? Are you looking forward to seeing and hearing tales of James Brown’s antics, or Bootsy Collins’s road tales?

“Tales from the Tour Bus” returns to Cinemax this Thursday, November 2nd.

Until next time, I’ll see you at the movies! (Seriously, don’t come to my apartment to watch TV with me; that’s weird.)
