Hello Guys and Ghouls! Veronica Rampant here, with a Halloween Tale to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up...
The BBC reports that someone in Scotland found something up in their attic that had been gathering dust for decades (and no, it wasn't that joke about "Guys and Ghouls," smartass!) - A print of the long-lost film adaptation of THE TELL-TALE HEART from 1953, starring Stanley Baker.
16mm film enthusiast Jeff Wells had purchased the film from a second-hand shop in Brighton in 1984. But it wasn't until he found the reel in his loft while cleaning in 2017 that he realized what he had. There is no word as to whether Mr. Wells was storing the film under his floorboards.
The 16mm print of THE TELL-TALE HEART has now been digitally restored, and lucky British viewers can watch the entire thing on the BFI site for two weeks around Halloween.
