Chris Pratt is a box office star in a rare position. He has had both of his next projects, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL .3 and COWBOY/NINJA/VIKING postponed indefinitely. This has left a gap in his scheduling that has allowed him to negotiate for other film roles.
According to Variety, he is currently in talks to play the lead role in the new film from Oscar-nominated screen writer Taylor Sheridan (the SICARIO series and HELL OR HIGH WATER). This would be the follow-up to Sheridan's 2016 directorial debut, WIND RIVER.
The plot of the still untitled film concerns a black ops team that hunts down drug dealers being protected by the federal government.
Pratt seems like he'd be a good fit for Sheridan's throwback John Millius-style of film making. I've loved everything Sheridan's scripted so I'm definitely hopeful that this project pans out.
What do you guys think? Excited to see Pratt potentially headshot some fools? Let us know!
