Over the weekend, we brought you a first look at Taron Egerton (the KINGSMAN series as Elton John. You can check that out HERE if you missed it.
Well, today Paramount Pictures has dropped the first bit of footage from the film the film and I have to say. I like what i see. Take a look:
"Based on a true fantasy." ... Nice.
I don't know what I was expecting from THISs but I was expecting fantasy sequences. It's definitely a fun, different way to approach a biopic. There's some really great imagery on display here. I love the floating crowd shot that closes the footage.
The film is directed by actor/director Dexter Fletcher. He previously directed Egerton in the wonderful but criminally underseen EDDIE THE EAGLE. Most Interestingly though, Fletcher's last directing job was filming the last third of BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, the soon to be released biopic of British rock band Queen, after Bryan Singer mysteriously bailed on the project last year. So, Fletcher definitely has the experience to deliver an interesting look at Sir Elton's early days.
