It seems these days they are REALLY trying to push collectable merchandise. I cannot believe how far POP figures have gone. Something that hasn’t gone quite as far is something called UglyDolls, you can spot them at places like Hot Topic or Spencer’s, but they’re sure trying!
Nick Jonas has joined Kelly Clarkson and Pitbull in the UGLYDOLLS movie, lending his voice and singing talent to the animation.
UGLYDOLLS is “An animated adventure in which the free-spirited UglyDolls confront what it means to be different, struggle with a desire to be loved, and ultimately discover who you truly are is what matters most.”
I really feel like we are just a stone’s throw away from an announcement for a POP figure movie. That would probably play out something like a LEGO movie, but not as fun. I may have rewatched the BATMAN LEGO MOVIE, and realized that I would love to see a GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY LEGO MOVIE.
Anyways, Kelly Asbury is directing UGLYDOLLS. Variety reported it first! Info is still sparse on this subject. Look out for more details in future!
