Not sure how I feel after watching that. It looks fun, dark, promising and yet I’m left far from excited.
The story follows a lonely married Holly (Clementine Poidatz) who visits one of those self-help/hypnosis classes titled “Umbrella of Love and Mind.” That sets off a dark chain of events, reminding Holly of long lost memories of when she was younger and her mom went loco and killed her father and sister. I’m assuming these memories lead to darker visions and hopefully some bloody carnage.
HOUSEWIFE is the 2nd film from director Can Evrenol after BASKIN. If you haven’t seen BASKIN it’s absolutely recommended viewing. In that one, a bunch of cops runs into an abyss which is essentially a gateway to Hell. That one had decent acting, a truly unique story and vision, and tons of gore!
Can Evrenol also co-wrote the script with Cem Ozuduru. I can’t find a release date in the US, but HOUSEWIFE was released in November 2017, in Turkey.
Anyone else want to see this one? Or any other fans of BASKIN out there?
