Freddy Beans here with a trailer for a new horror film coming out called CYNTHIA
That feels like a complete rip-off of IT’S ALIVE on first viewing if I'm to be honest. If this is a humorous rendition of the same premise it could be a lot of fun like a BAD MILO for instance. If it’s completely unaware of the comedy and plays it straight I will probably skip it though. Or save for bad movie night of course!
Devon Downs & Kenny Gage are co-directors off a script by Robert Rhine. Scout Taylor-Compton, James Karen, Robert LaSardo, Kyle Jones and Rebecca Marshall round out the cast. I left off two key cast members though because holy crap it’s a HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES/DEVIL’S REJECTS reunion seeing Sig Haig and Bill Moseley in the trailer!
OK OK I’m in, I have to watch this one on principle now. Bill Moseley is to this day the best hitchhiker in the TEXAS CHAINSAW movies. Dog will hunt!
Anyone else excited to see this movie? Or Bill and Said acting together in anything dark really?
CYNTHIA is coming to theaters in October. I just checked IMDB and it’s being billed as a horror/comedy so exactly what I want here. I’m not a huge fan of the look of this evil tot so far, the weird reptilian version of IT’S ALIVE, three fingers and all, playing with blocks and the E.T. eye in the closet read kiddy movie to this guy. I don't think that's what they're going for.
