Today the folks at That HashTag Show broke some news that Todd McFarlane is rumored to be in talks with Jeremy Renner for the part of Twitch Williams. Renner who has a foot in the comic realm already from his role as Clint Barton / Hawkeye in the Marvel universe would be more than welcomed into the kingdom of Image comics and I believe would be an excellent fit as Twitch. Renner has a long list of films, some being "The Town," "The Hurt Locker," "S.W.A.T.," "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," and most recently "Tag" to mention just a few.
I think Renner would be perfect; he is a talented actor who has a quiet intensity that is needed for the character. What most excites me is that Renner has the ideal Twitch nose! After seeing Renner and Jamie Foxx on Off Script, you can immediately see the natural chemistry. Here is the video!
Since no one has officially signed or communicated that Renner is cast, this could be just rumor-ville, but I sincerely hope it is true. Renner would be an interesting Twitch, what do all of you out there in Geeklandia think?
