Animation God Bill Plympton's Latest Satire has a Kickstarter to Immortalize TRUMP

 Hola Dannie aqui,

Master animator/creator Bill Plympton who has a long history of political caricatures in print has finally found a politician worthy of his satirical sketch-based animated superpowers. He has decided to animate a series of shorts based on some of President Trumps more controversial and or idiotic quotes. No matter where you lie on the political spectrum of our current society one can not contest the artistry, passion, and balls of Bill Plympton. He is an art machine, which has disturbed and delighted audiences for decades.

Plympton has had several successfully funded projects via Kickstarter and this "TRUMP BITES" series is no different.

Where the project is now according to their  Kickstarter page

"Our first three episodes are now streaming on the New York Times website. We'd like to make at least a dozen more.

Hand-drawn animation is not cheap. Bill works with a team of artists that includes a colorist, a compositor, an editor, and a sound designer -- each adding their talent and hard work to the finished product. And due to the sensitive nature of the content, our legal and insurance fees are substantial. To keep this series going, we need your help."

"There are so many more Trumpisms that we're eager to spoof, and we welcome your suggestions in the comments section. Here are a few that we are considering for future episodes:"

“I would love to be a well-educated black…” Trump experiences the perks of being a black male in America.

“The medical deferment is feet…” What exactly was the problem with Trump’s feet that sidelined him during the Vietnam War?  We take you inside the exam room.

"We had the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake..." Presidents Trump and Xi frolic in a chocolate dreamscape while missiles fly to "Iraq... I mean Syria."

Here is the Kickstarter video!

Artist's have an obligation to cast satires towards those they disagree with, and Plympton is harnessing the power of animation is casting a powerful spell, one that will be seen long after we are gone.

My mind immediately goes to Charles Chaplin's 1940 masterpiece "The Great Dictator" as an example of the power satire has, even if his perspective was unpopular at the moment Chaplin's conscious could not rest without formulating an artistic satire that he hoped would inspire people to see that something was very wrong with Germany at that time. I have shared below Chaplin's speech from the film, the first time he ever spoke during one of his films, it is amazing what he had to say, here click and listen.

I am not comparing Trump to Hitler. I repeat "I AM NOT COMPARING TRUMP to HITLER!

I may not be a TRUMP fan, but I do not see him as quite that genocidal or organized. I see him (Trump) more as an idiot (or pretends really well to be an idiot) with nuclear buttons to play with. A man whose only concern is for corporations and uses propaganda and the fear of a lower/middle class to blame all of America's woes on "bad hombres" and "Terrorists." I know a great many will disagree and that's wonderful, that's America. The freedom to disagree, but still, peacefully coexist. Kinda like the TalkBack section here. The freedom to create something like "TRUMP BITES" is what America was based on, so if you are a true patriot send some cash Plympton's way!
