Today we have a small leaked story from the folks of Deadline. Emma Thompson (DEAD AGAIN) fans will be happy to hear that Universal Pictures has snagged the rights to a script penned by Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings of the Soho Theatre. LAST CHRISTMAS. It will be a holiday romance with London as it's backdrop, all other details are hush-hush for now besides Paul Feig being tapped to be directing the project.
Two-time Oscar-winning Emma Thompson (One was for scripting Sense and Sensibility) will star next in A24’s THE CHILDREN'S ACT and Focus Features’ JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES AGAIN. LATE NIGHT just had production wrapped where she starred along with Mindy Kaling of THE OFFICE. Cowriter Bryony Kimmings is an interesting UK based artist who was commisioned to write "The Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer for Complicite Associates" back in 2016.
-The BAFTA-winning producer David Livingstone, has the upcoming film JUDY starring Renée Zellweger(EMPIRE RECORDS) in the works, will be producing the project with Thompson.
