Cyrano de Bergerac in a boys academy! OLD BOYS!

Hey folks, got a fun trailer for OLD BOYS here... it's the Cyrano de Bergerac story, told in a boys academy.

Written by Luke Ponte and Freddy Syborn and directed by first-time feature director Toby MacDonald, OLD BOYS features Alex Lawther (THE IMITATION GAME), Jonah Hauer-King (POSTCARDS FROM LONDON), and Pauline Étienne (THE NUN) in a love triangle formed when Amberson (Lawther), the last-picked kid at a boys academy meets Agnes (Étienne), the new French teacher's daughter. She confides she is curious about the clueless cool boy Winchester (Hauer-King), and in an effort to improve his situation, Amberson trades acceptance for help in wooing Agnes' affections, creating a complication when Agnes falls in love with what she thinks comes from Winchester's heart.

This might be the first telling of this story where I feel some level of affection for the handsome dullard. Hauer-King strikes me as like-able and interesting as a guy who takes the how-to-get-a-girl game too far.

OLD BOYS premieres at the Edinburgh International Film Festival June 21st, and beyond that, Coming Soon... no further release dates have been named.
