I have an interesting trailer for OCCUPATION, the sophomore effort from director Luke Sparke.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess this storyline. A group of folks, that don’t necessarily get along, in a small town are forced to unite and fight an intruding alien army.
The movie’s tagline should read RED DAWN meets INDEPENDENCE DAY! That movie poster has me looking for Thanos honestly.
That said, this looks better than I want to admit, the cinematography being the real standout for me here.
I was on the fence with this one, then I saw Temuera Morrison doing his thing and figured I’d give him a shout out. I remember renting an incredibly powerful movie back in the day and it still sticks with me. The movie is an absolutely heartbreaking tale of a lost father and his ruined family. If you haven’t seen ONCE WERE WARRIORS do so, it’s unforgettable and should stick to you well after first viewing.
I also liked him in FRESH MEAT, a pretty good horror comedy. A home invasion with a twist flick where the victims are cannibals that’s full of gore and decent comedy. But he probably hates people mentioning his acting in that one.
Are there any other Temuera Morrison fans out there?
Or am I totally wrong and you are all out there chomping on that steel bit just to see OCCUPATION?
