Happy May the 4th everyone! On this holiest of marketing days, we gather together to celebrate our mutual love of
STAR WARS. Of course the newest film, in this now never-ending franchise, comes out in a few weeks on May 25th: SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.
We've hit that point where the marketing campaign has gone into hyperdrive to try to entice you into seeing the film. The latest bit of footage released is a brief clip of the legendary card game between Lando (Donald Glover) and Han (Alden Ehrenreich) for the Millennium Falcon. In this short clip, which has been modified for "360/VR "video, you get to see more of the great looking, practical creature effects and most importantly you get to see some real interaction between Lando and Han. Let's check it out!:
I know that a lot of people are not sold on Ehrenreich as Han but, in this clip, he shows just the briefest moment of that young Harrison Ford swagger. Hopefully, there's a lot more of that in the actual film. Of course, Glover continues to look note-perfect as young Lando. Did you notice how he pronounced "Han"? I love that little detail!
