Michael B. Jordan Re-Teams With Ryan Coogler On Vault Comic's FAILSAFE Franchise!

Hello all, Mad Dashiell here and thanks for joining me today. Today we are talking about Failsafe. What, you haven’t you heard of Failsafe?!

It's cool, not many have... It’s a new title from the publishers of Vault Comics, just launched last April. Think less a superhero and more cyberpunk revolution following the nanotech-powered supersoldier, John Ravane. Johns job is to take out similarly superpowered sleeper agents that are taking over the country. Cue up the sci-fi conspiracies running the highest echelons and you have the recipe for an awesome action thriller.

Quick Synopsis-
"When he executed the last nanotech-enhanced super soldier, John Ravane thought that was the end of the haywire Insurgence Program. Ten years later, in the wake of social unrest, its true legacy is revealed. As sleeper agents scattered throughout the country activate, Ravane must stand between a government he cannot trust and the soldiers he once hunted."

Netflix won the auction for Failsafe, the Vault Comics title to be scripted by Black Panther co-writer Joe Robert Cole as a producing and another potential starring vehicle for Michael B. Jordan. This seems like an extremely bold move because the comic hasn’t even released its second issue yet.  Failsafe is written by F.J. DeSanto and Todd Farmer, with pencils from Federico Dallocchio. Desanto is also co-producing the Netflix series.

From the ashes of Adonis to Erik Killmonger, the Marvel team has been good to Michael B. Jordan and writer Joe Robert Cole. The Marvel Comics adaptation of Black Panther they made, shattered records prior to Avengers: Infinity War's dazzling success. Let's face it, In the past, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had very ineffective villains prior to Jordan's Killmonger. I'm gonna draw a name out of a hat and say Jeff Bridges in IRON MAN. Hey, I seriously love the guy but come on! I mean, he was no Genghis Khan facing off against THE SHADOW but still...

In Black Panther, Killmonger opens Pandora's box letting loose unto the world a necessary antagonist. He doesn’t just fade into the background the second credits start rolling. Audiences leave the theater to find they might be stuck at an ideological crossroad. Do you align with Black Panther, T’Challa or Killmonger? Depth such as that is seen as rare in your run of the mill blockbuster. Let's hope lightning strikes again in a cyberpunk arena. Jordan is also currently reprising his role in Creed 2, this time it will be directed by Steven Caple Jr.
