The WOLF COP Team Takes Us To The SUPERGRID In Post-Apocalyptic Hell!

Hello all, Mad Dashiell here and thanks for joining me. The highways are littered with futuristic pirates known as Jackals and it's just another day in post-apocalyptic hell. Let's roll out the Official Trailer-

"I didn't always have a bleak view of the future."

Well, I have to admit maybe I did a little for this film, in particular after a few seconds in but that was before I saw it was from the director of Wolf Cop. In fact, the film has several members of the WolfCop force on SUPERGRID, It has Hugh Patterson producing along with director Lowell Dean teaming up again with first assistant director Bohn, makeup artist Emersen Ziffle, as well as actors Fafard and Amy Matysio. The movie was created on a budget of $1.2 million and by looking at the gore in the trailer here it looks like the film got a ton of bang for their buck with stunt actors seemingly exploding into a massive red mist from heavy gunfire during chase scenes.

“Especially given that it’s an action film with cars and explosions and chases and shoot-outs, you would not normally attempt to do any of this on a budget of that size,” co-producer Trinni Franke said to the Leader-Post last summer.

SuperGrid was filmed in Saskatchewan during the summer of 2017, mainly in and around Regina. The story, like most post-apocalyptic film treats, takes its inspiration from other classics such as Mad Max with a local twist. The film depicts a future where provinces such as Saskatchewan are sold to the country that is the highest bidder for their local resources.

-Thanks for joining me today. One of my favorite things about 80s post-apocalyptic films is the way they depicted an oblique future where punks took over the world, signs of the times... I do miss that a bit, Mad Max... I mean, Mad Dashiell singing off.
