Happy Earth Day, geeks!

If you love documentaries, check out this fresh new trailer! DisneyNature has gone to Antarctica to stalk a penguin they lovingly dubbed “Steve” to exploit its life for profit and some education!

“Disneynature’s all-new feature film “Penguins” is a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family.  None of it comes easily for him, especially considering he's targeted by everything from killer whales to leopard seals, who unapologetically threaten his happily ever after. From the filmmaking team behind “Bears” and “Chimpanzee.”

I wouldn’t have picked Imagine Dragons as the soundtrack for this trailer, but whatever, gotta get the hip young kids’ attention somehow. Don’t get me wrong, I like that song. This documentary(?) actuallys looks pretty soothing to watch.

I see all of the characters from HAPPY FEET are reprising all of their roles as themselves, but I am sad to report that Robin Williams will not be busting out his...Mexican-Spanish accent to voice Steve. Rest in peace, you gentle soul.

Have you ever tried explaining the movie HAPPY FEET to someone who has never seen nor heard of it?

So, in HAPPY FEET, Elijah Wood is a handicapped/growth stunted penguin that can’t sing, but instead can dance. He tasks himself with finding the aliens that are stealing their fish and to get the aliens to leave their food source alone. This is the best explanation I could come up with at the time, and my friend still doesn’t believe me that it’s a real movie.

Anyways, Disneynature’s PENGUINS opens in theaters nationwide in time for Earth Day 2019.
