Heya people. Here's the final trailer for A QUIET PLACE, directed, partially written, and starring John Krasinski (THE OFFICE) and his wife, Emily Blunt (MARY POPPINS) as post-apocalyptic survivors of a world overrun with large predators attracted to sound.
I don't think I've seen the moment that winds the tension up in this trailer (a strange old man, screaming to attract his own death feet away from Krasinski and a child) in a previous trailer, and it was not what I expected. This film is looking more and more like all the things I like about THE DESCENT.
As Krasinksi's been making the press rounds for A QUIET PLACE, Screen Rant brought up the idea of him and Blunt joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the new Reed Richards and Sue Storm, which he sounded enthusiastically on board for.
"Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I’m still getting into the whole superhero thing. I didn’t read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I’m a huge superhero fan so yeah, I’d love to do something like that... And listen, I’d love to work with her again so any chance I got would be great."
I rather like the idea. Mister Fantastic is the antithesis of Jim Halpert, but it always makes more sense when a tall, thin, bookish fellow is playing him (I loved Gruffudd). Both he and Blunt would be brilliant at portraying the dysfunctional marriage that is the nucleus of the Fantastic Four.
