Hello, all Mad Dashiell here and I bring more news from A24 Films. The American independent entertainment company has been continuously bringing us exceptional cinema. If you can't rattle off more than a handful of names then you need to go look at their film roster immediately.
A24 has debuted their first official trailer for FIRST REFORMED, the indie drama premiered last fall at the Venice / Telluride / Toronto trifecta of film festivals. The film stars Ethan Hawke as a parish pastor working in upstate New York at a small Dutch Reform church. The film's cast includes Amanda Seyfried (Les Misérables, TWIN PEAKS), Michael Gaston (THE LEFTOVERS, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE), Van Hansis (KISS ME, KILL ME), Victoria Hill (DECEMBER BOYS), Satchel Eden Bell (BLINDSPOT), and last but certainly not least- Cedric the Entertainer. (Who needs no introduction, come on we all know the guy!)
This film has some mixed reviews coming out from the festivals last fall, but let's look at the official trailer here ourselves below.
Could be an excellent thriller. Looks like the middle-aged pastor is wrestling with a spiritual identity crisis, because after all, that's what pastors formal or not do in films.
