Dead Guy is Sleeping with Demons in This DEMON HOUSE Trailer

Heya geeks, Big Eyes here. Today we have a new writer that is a horror fanatic, Dead Guy!

Hello, AICN folks. Dead Guy here. Lifelong horror, b-movie and music aficionado. Today I will be reviewing the trailer for DEMON HOUSE. I love typing that title, so I’ll do it again. DEMON HOUSE.

Demon House is the upcoming Horror/Documentary film by Zak Bagans of Ghost Adventures fame. Ghost Adventures is the long running paranormal investigative TV series that airs on the Travel channel. From 2008 to present, it has garnered quite a cult following among fans of the genre and has won over critics and skeptics alike. Even having well known celebrities such as Post Malone, Vince Neil and Brendan Schaub make appearances. So this is no run-of-mill ‘GOTCHA’ ghost hunter shenanigans that you would see on the SyFy network. Zak Bagans is the real deal

The trailer starts off with eerie whispers from what could be the ghost of deceased children or Satan himself. Creepy shots of dark corners of the house appear. Until BOOM! “In 2014, a documentary crew went to Gary, Indiana to investigate a case of demonic possession” pops up on the screen. Yes. We’ve seen this intro to horror trailers for years. Cliché maybe. But this ain’t no Blair Witch Project. This is DEMON HOUSE.

We are then introduced to good ol’ Zak Bagans. He introduces himself and immediately we are warned “this film… IS CURSED.” *BOOM* “VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK” is next to BOOM across the screen. So by now, we all know that if we view this movie, we might possibly be haunted by paranormal beings that lead us to our untimely demise. Or its just a common scare tactic used in horror movie trailers to spook the most gullible of audience members. You be the judge.

Zak goes on to explain how he bought this house sight unseen after researching its haunted history. We then go on to hear tidbits from other locals giving their accounts of hauntings they experienced in and around the residence. Ghastly images of reenactments and cc footage from inside the house flash rapidly on the screen with increasing intensity until we are left with a silhouette of a demon staring us down in a hallway. And then the flash of that awesome title again. DEMON HOUSE.

The trailer might suffer from all the old horror clichés we’ve seen through the years. And that’s kind of to be expected. It’s basically a tried and true formula now. But with this film being an actual documentary by a renowned paranormal instigator with his own hit TV series, it has more substance and potential for chills than your average found footage film. Reading through the comments on the youtube video, you can see the excitement from the devoted fanbase of Ghost Adventures. As opposed to the groans of horror elitists: “Another one of these?” Whether you are a skeptic or a believer in all things spooky, this could be something special for the horror genre. It’s not everyday you see a paranormal documentary getting a theatrical release. Horror docs are always fun, so even if you are a non-believer, why not catch a few chills for the heck of it? Ghost Adventures fans are sure to be pleased. Demon House premiers in theaters March 16th. Be sure to bring an extra pair of pants. This one might scare the pee out of you.
