Today Focus Features sent us the first look at their film "The Little Stranger." The film is directed by Lenny Abrahamson who many remember from his work on the films “Room,” "Garage" and "Frank."
Focus Features describes the film... "THE LITTLE STRANGER tells the story of Dr. Faraday, the son of a housemaid, who has built a life of quiet respectability as a country doctor. During the long hot summer of 1948, he is called to a patient at Hundreds Hall, where his mother once worked. The Hall has been home to the Ayres family for more than two centuries. But it is now in decline and its inhabitants - mother, son, and daughter - are haunted by something more ominous than a dying way of life. When he takes on his new patient, Faraday has no idea how closely, and how disturbingly, the family’s story is about to become entwined with his own."

The film is written by Lucinda Coxon (“The Danish Girl”) and is based on the novel by Sarah Waters. The film stars actor Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux!!!) who worked with director Abrahamson, on the, film "Frank" and was also in "Ex Machina" and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." Joining Gleeson are Ruth Wilson ("The Lone Ranger"), Will Poulter (from the awesome film "Son of Rambow" and the not so awesome "The Maze Runner"), and Oscar Nominee Charlotte Rampling ("45 Years," "Melancholia" and "Swimming Pool"). The Little Stranger is in post-production and is set to be released August 31st, 2018.
