New Trailer for “EARLY MAN” from Wallace and Gromit Creator!

Animation geekette reporting! Big Eyes, here!
Whether your first “Wallace and Gromit” movie was “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” and “The Wrong Trousers”, or any other of their great films. The characters and the art are hard to not love. Creator Nick Park has also brought us “Chicken Run”, and the less noted “Flushed Away” (It was a terrible shame that they went for computer graphics in that one instead of their normal mode in claymation.) I almost forgot to mention the “Shaun the Sheep” movies, never saw them, now they’re on my list. Anyways, Nick Park now brings us “Early Man” in SPECTACULAR CLAYMATION!

Claymation/stop motion, I feel, is a very underrated style of animation we just don’t see enough these days. Still, there are companies out there today that are holding a strong candle flame for this kind of animation. For example, obviously, those who are responsible for many of Nick Park’s films. Laika has also done some amazing films with stop motion, including: “Kubo and the Two Strings” and “Coraline”.

The premise of “EARLY MAN” according to IMDB is described as “Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of Dug, along with sidekick Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth and his Bronze Age City to save their home.”

Let’s take a look at the trailer!

In this newer trailer, we get to see a bit more about the people of the Bronze Age and what they’re about in this flick, and wouldn’t you know it, happen to be extremely British. Except for their leader Lord Nooth, who is an overweight pasty white man with a French(?) accent. “EARLY MAN” looks like loads of fun! Can’t wait to check it out when it comes out January 26th, 2018!

Signing off,

~Big Eyes
