Like CBS’ “Limitless,” CBS’ “Training Day” is a TV sequel to a movie that focused on a different set of characters. The great Bill Paxton is in it, but it’s not getting a lot of good reviews, and for good reason. The TV version scripted by Will Beall, who wrote 2013’s craptacular “Gangster Squad” and drafted a screenplay (the screenplay?) for next year’s “Aquaman” movie.
