Tyler Hoechlin will play the Man of Steel on The CW’s first couple of episodes of “Supergirl,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Hoechlin may be best known for playing Derek Hale on 61 episodes of MTV’s “Teen Wolf.”
The actor played Tom Hanks’ young son in “Road To Perdition” 14 years ago and this year starred as the ball-splitting, ‘stache-sporting ultra-competitive McReynolds in Richard Linklater’s “Everybody Wants Some!!”
Superman appeared every week in the opening of “Supergirl” on CBS, but the series has never offered the sound of his voice or a good look at his face. That should change when the Man of Steel appears in the series’ first two CW installments.
