To Answer Important Questions!!!!

#1: The Event is 18 and over, not 21 and over as some have suggested.

#2: What to include in your email to Tim League, Owner of the Drafthouse, when you email him at exactly 12 noon cst? Your name, number of tickets you need (limit of 6), where you are coming from, a return email address, etc. Tim will contact you with how to purchase them, which I believe will be over the phone via credit card.

#3: If you don't live in Austin, you qualify as being out of town.... even if you do live in San Antonio.

#4: Noon means 12 noon central standard time... aka 1pm East coast time.... 11am... mountain time...... 10am west coast time.

#5: The event is on DECEMBER 9th at 12 noon... please get there early, so you can be in your seats and ready to veg at noon.... I'll be getting there about 11am on December 9th. And it will run through (at least) 12 noon December 10th.... last year we went over just a tad, but ya know.... keeping things on schedule for this sort of wanton film orgy.... it kinda gets tough.

#6: How many tickets will be going on sale? Right around 200 seats. So this is an intimate sort of deal. Which means the sense of urgency is very tangible. You need to be very aggressive in your acquisition of tickets... it's kinda like Geek Darwinism... only the strongest will survive.

#7: What is showing, who's gonna be there, how many films will screen? I ain't saying. I can assure you that 'Furry Footed Fucker' does not refer to FRITZ THE CAT and 'Musical Film Noir' does not refer to PENNIES FROM HEAVEN. I feel the line up this year is exceptional. Last year it was sort of thrown together haphazard. At the last minute. This year, the line up is nearly complete right now... though, I'm still playing with a couple of ideas. As for WHO is going to be there? This is always one of those intangible sorts of things... Some very exciting things have been claimed... will they come through? Well, that's up to them. This event is about film... not star humping, but that sort of thing makes for an interesting change of pace over the course of a day-night-day thing like this.

#8: As for the charity aspects of this... TIM and I are working on ways people unable to attend can contribute... that you folks out of town coming can get the form for ASS SPONSORSHIPS as soon as you've purchased your tickets... that way everything runs smoother and easier!!!

#9: "Harry, what dvds do you have, I want to buy you a dvd for your birthday, but I don't know what to get?" Ahhh, tough question. Let me work up a list of all known DVDs to reside in my home and I'll put it online for your perusal.

#10: Can we bring outside food and drink into the Alamo? Ummmm, no. You can bring pillows and blankets (but note... if you fall asleep terrible terrible things will happen to you). Can I bring my own palm dvd player to watch my own stuff if your programming sucks? Hey, fuck you... No. I'll breaka both ya legs you prevert. The Alamo Drafthouse is not a NORMAL movie theater.... Tim's WonderHub, doesn't serve the typically overpriced pre-packaged garbage that you consume at other hell hole theaters.... At the drafthouse he operates a full service kitchen and booze hub. Import and domestics.... Pizza and pasta and veggie things.... Ice Cream and cheese cake and chocolate.... As well as Popcorn and nachos. Hell, he even serves various forms of salads with healthy crap in them. The prices are typical restaurant prices, and not heaped up pricey damn theater prices. Bring some extra moolah for the food, and for sex with Robie.

All right... start your engines... I'm gonna come down tomorrow to the Drafthouse to give moral support and kick the ass of any scalpers that dare show up.... I know what you scalping shitheads of Austin look like... and I will personally BAN your ass from showing. Did I mention this was an all porn festival? Hmmmm, slipped my mind... Just kidding.... P.S. The Presidential Shutting Down of Downtown Austin for King George the Second, will not affect the Alamo Sales of BUTT-NUMB-A-THON tickets. But I saw some tents set up last night outside the drafthouse... some eager folks I suppose...

OLD INFO!!!!!!

Less than a year ago, at the ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE CINEMA, I set out to do something extraordinarily fun for my birthday.... for children around Central Texas... and for a packed room full of film geeks! I dared you people to come... challenged the very fortitude of your ass cheeks and when I was done with that packed theater of film fans... Well, they went home... real damn happy.

We had premieres of MAGNOLIA and PITCH BLACK.... Showed a bizarre Lesbian Vampire Flick, Ed Wood's most infamous, and films that haven't seen a screen in... well a long time. Everybody left with goofy stuff, a smile and big black bags beneath their eyes... Still trembling in the terror of the ELECTRIFIED RACKETS my minions wielded like joybuzzers.

Last year, I had no idea what I was doing, and it went great! This year I know what I'm doing so I'm bound to screw it up... but if I do... It is going to be remarkable. Again...This December 9th thru 10th you will not know what I am going to unleash upon you. Again starting at noon... we'll probably run slightly over 24 hours because... well, time is relative. Again, every penny of the money is all going to the CHILDREN'S FILM PROGRAM that I created with Tim League and the Alamo Drafthouse and BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS, the Austin Film Society and The Chronicle.

There will be 5 Premieres this time.... not 2 like last year. We will have some special guests (plural)... There will be MORE STUFF for you to go home with, and our T-shirts will be way cooler!!!

What types of films over the course of the 24 + hours? There will be a musical film noir, a heist flick, a furry footed fucker, more flying pie pans, a film by Michael Curtiz, never-before-seen cannibal horror, explorations of the paranormal, and much much more. We'll have robots, ghosts, cadavers and dancing showgirls and animation. Things you may never see anywhere else ever... things that you might see soon... I'll hit you with movies with budgets from $5000 to millions and millions. Movies from other countries... movies from our country.... and when I'm done with ya.... You'll beg for more.

Originally we had planned to have ONLINE TICKETING, but... the company handling this for Tim has... well not gotten it in place, SOooooo, here's what TIM has said will go down. I have taken a certain number of the tickets for the AICN staff and their accompanying babes and studs.... The remaining tickets (aka the majority) will be split in two piles... OUT OF TOWN and IN TOWN... The IN TOWN tickets will go on sale at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Box Office at 12 noon Central Standard Time NOVEMBER 6th. The tickets are $10 and each person can buy a maximum of 6 tickets. You will be getting more than $10 worth of free stuff by the time you leave the theater December 10th btw.

Now... for you folks in far off countries, states and dimensions... The other half of the tickets are being held for you... Same rules apply... 1 person can buy 6 tickets... The way it is going to have to happen is via email with TIM.... I know... he doesn't like it either. The email address you'll have to write is Owner@drafthouse.com!!! However, you must realize... NO EMAILS WILL COUNT TILL AFTER 12 NOON CST ON NOVEMBER 6TH!!!

Like Last year, there will be special PRIZES for the top money bringer inners.... via the ASS SPONSORSHIPS. Just like last year... there will be a form on the back of your ticket that you can have people sponsor your ass for a price per hour... ie... 10 cents an hour pledge or $4000 an hour pledge.... whatever, do realize this all goes to the children's film series... which we raised over $8000 for last year, and has resulted in us bringing movies like THE CAT FROM OUTER SPACE, CLASH OF THE TITANS, JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS, PRINCE VALIANT, FREAKY FRIDAY and many many more to disadvantaged kids just to prove.. we geeks can do good for the world!!!!

Oh... I forgot, a ton of the regular AICNers will be in attendence including the first appearance of CARTUNA... the animation genius behind those corner animations and this year's poster. And we will try to have the first AICN cartoon with sound and everything ready to debut on the big screen to kick everything off.... We'll see.... it might even debut at this SPOT... stay tuned...
