Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Anne Hathaway seems bound and determined to make some kind of sci-fi/horror survival story. First it was announced that she was going to team up with Fantastic Fest mascot and crazy man Nacho Vigalondo for a Giant Reptile movie called Colossal and now she's on a project called The Shower, per THR.
Described as in the same general ballpark as Attack the Block and This Is The End, the story focuses on a pregnant woman at her baby shower when meteorites fall from the sky, infecting all males with some kind of crazy alien germ.
Yep, sounds right up my alley. The script by Jac Schaeffer was on the Black List and now seems to be really happening thanks to Hathaway's support.
With studios desperate to show that they totally don't hate women, you guys, and Hathaway's attachment I have a feeling this one will come together rather quickly, especially if the script's as solid as I'm hearing.
