Leo Fitzpatrick, who played Bubbles’ drug-addict best friend Johnny Weeks on “The Wire,” is joining “Gotham.”
He’ll be playing Joe Pike, leader of a band of arsonists known as The Pike Brothers.
Thing is, Joseph Pike is a Marvel Comics character. (In his handful of Daredevil issues of he looks a little like a pike, which earned him his nickname “Walleye.”)
After “Empire,” “Gotham” was Fox’s most popular show last season.
Other villains getting introduced in the fast-appraching second season include early versions of Mr. Freeze, Hugo Strange, Azrael and The Calendar Man.
Subsequent to his “Wire” work, Fitzpatrick played The Shepard on two episodes of “Sons of Anarchy” and The Reverend on 19 episodes of “The Heart, She Hollar.”
“Gotham” returns to Fox Sept. 22.
