Fox About To Order 10 More Episodes Of PRISON BREAK??

I am – Hercules!!

Fox chief Gary Newman said at his Thursday TCA session that the plan is to order a 10-episode “Prison Break” sequel miniseries as soon as original series mastermind Paul Scheuring completes the project’s first script.

Locked in for the mini apparently are Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, who both starred in the original series and are currently working together as supercriminals Captain Cold and Heat Wave in the midseason CW “Flash” spin-off “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.”

Miller and Purcell would shoot the “Break” mini immediately after completing their first (and perhaps only) season of “Tomorrow.”

The supposed death of Miller's character in the 2009 straight-to-Blu "Prison Break" movie will be explained away and largely ignored, according to Newman.

The original 2005-2009 “Prison Break” followed a guy who decided the only way to get his brother out of stir was to get locked up in the same penitentiary.

Fox’s 12-episode revival of “24” attracted a decent audience last summer, and Fox execs are still contemplating a second miniseries set in Jack Bauer’s universe. The “Heroes Reborn” miniseries arrives on NBC in September, six new episodes of Fox’s “X-Files” launch in January and Showtime expects to begin unfurling 18 new episodes of “Twin Peaks” in 2017.

Scheuring, who scripted the Vin Diesel movie “A Man Apart” (11% positive on Rotten Tomatoes), also created the terrible and short-lived 2013-14 ABC series “Zero Hour.”
