Via his Twitter stream, spectacle maestro Roland Emmerich has revealed the return of two actors from his 1996 epic INDEPENDENCE DAY in that film’s sequel.

Pullman - is no surprise here. It’s been widely assumed he’d appear in this go-round, although it’s nice to have the notion at long last confirmed. Judd Hirsch coming back? Frankly, the thought hadn’t crossed my mind in all the posts I’ve made about this film, but his was a fun (and funny character) in the first installment, so why not?
The INDEPENDENCE DAY sequel (presumably we’ll get an official title at some point soon?) arrives in theaters June 24 of next year.
