When MAN OF STEEL was first announced I was in the same boat as most of you. With David S. Goyer writing, Zack Snyder directing and the rumors of WB wanting to rush it into production because of a lawsuit, I had little hope for it. It should be said that I was one of the few of you guys that actually enjoyed SUPERMAN RETURNS and I really wanted to see Singer's follow-up. Then over time the cast was announced and some images were released of the modified Superman suit. It got me a little more hopeful but still reserved. Then the trailers came out and I became down right excited for it.
Now after hearing the early buzz coming from people who have seen the film my expectations are higher for this than any other blockbuster coming out this summer. This poster just continues the recent trend of raising my expectations. It's beautiful and I think it is much more interesting, visually and symbolically than any of the other MAN OF STEEL posters that have been released to date. (Recent movie posters have been really lame.) Hopefully MAN OF STEEL will meet or exceed all of our expectations when it is released in just over a month's time on June 14, 2013.
