J.J. Abrams Pitching Crime Hourlong PULP With Fellow ALIAS/LOST/FRINGE Vets!!

I am – Hercules!!

J.J. Abrams is teaming with fellow “Alias”/“Lost”/“Fringe” writers Monica Breen and Alison Schapker to shop a new crime hourlong titled “Pulp,” according to Mike Ausiello’s brand new website tvline.com.

The project is “set in a slightly heightened reality, a-la Pulp Fiction,” according to the report.

A recent episode of “Fringe” saw Col. Broyles impale Olivia Dunham in the chest with a syringe full of adrenaline.

The busy Abrams (“Undercovers,” “Super 8,” “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol,” “Star Trek: Vulcanian Vengeance”) is likely only serving as executive producer on “Pulp.”

This is at least the fourth Abrams project that could go to series next fall. The other contenders:

* “Alcatraz” (Fox) starring Jorge Garcia, Sam Neill and Robert Forster.
* “Odd Jobs” (NBC) starring Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn.
* “Untitled Jonathan Nolan” (CBS) cast unknown.
