A bit on SIMPATICO... it stars Sharon Stone, Jeff Bridges and Nick Nolte...

What the hell is 'SIMPATICO'? Well, it's a film directed by Matthew Warchus. What? Oh, you don't know who that is. Well that's probably because from as far as I can tell this is his first feature film, but the guy must have something on the ball, because he got the rights to adapt Sam Shepard's play of the same name, and landed a cast that includes Nick Nolte, Sharon Stone, Jeff Bridges, Albert Finney and Catherine Keener. Catherine WHO? Well, she's one of them actresses that's slowly but surely moving on up the ladder. Observe, this year you've seen her in both OUT OF SIGHT (as Adele) and Neil LaBute's YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS (as Terri). But next year, she'll be in Joel Shumacher's 8MM which, I've had good word on, despite some less than great test screenings, but then it's not the type of film that tests well with middle America, but some geeks that loved SEVEN and THE CROW really dug the flick. She'll also be in BEING JOHN MALKOVICH and this film, so I think she's doing pretty good. Plus I liked 'Adele' a lot. Me predict she's someone to keep an eyeball out of the left socket for. Well, here's what our spy saw with the film...

I was walking around the Santa Anita mall in Pasadena, California were I happened to catch a glimpse of a crew filming Nick Nolte's latest Simpatico. They were filming inside of a leather clothing shop with most of the lights out. I could see Nick Nolte doing some shot with a clerk. Nolte had shoulder length white-blond hair that was puffy. Sort of Robert Plant esque but more surfer and not as wild. There was a very small crew. I think about six or seven excluding actors. All and all, it was pretty layed back, very little lighting too.

Im not sure if anyone cares about the new Nick Nolte movie but lets just consider this report as your B-Day present Harry (Well I guess I can put back those VIP passes to a sneak peak of Episode One at Sky Walker Ranch. Damn, guess I'll keep using them as coasters.)

Gosh, thanks! :)
