DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS!!

Well Nick Fury chimes in with this report about what he knows about the DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS flick, and it ain't all a bed of wine and roses. He's pretty dang down on the whole ball of wax, god I hate to see that. The endless hours of them odd shaped dice, seems like someone could do a better job. Well, it is only one person's opinion, but hey the script didn't charm me either. We'll keep an eye on this one. Hopefully we'll hear great things on the production end.

Nick here, Harry.

Here's the word on D&D that I heard: Yes, they are having trouble with Wizards of the Coast, who bought the company from TSR. Apparently, Wizards feels that Sweatpea's deal was with TSR, not Wizards... A lawyer fight is sure to follow.

I have read 82 million drafts of this thing. The latest is written by Mark Christopher Leahy who supposedly recently wrote the BEOWULF movie Christopher Lambert is doing.

The storyline has eliminated the cool as hell flying warship that your other spy refers to, but is not the character-driven fix that everyone wants. To put it simply, Sgt. Fury thinks it blows big chunks, and is a big step backwards. Certainly there is less eye-candy effects in this draft.

Bland hero Corwin is sent with his heroic mentor Owen (was a dwarf, is now a half-orc) and Lianna (elven counsel to the Empress) as well as Gwenyth, a mage, to get the Dragon Orb, the only thing that can save the realm from the forces of darkness.

Most of the plot is the same as before--they go into a Thieves' Guild and go through a perilous test to get an object that gives them direction to where the orb is stored. This is where the new stuff happens--they go into a graveyard/catacombs like thing, and run into one of Owen's old friends, Cormac, who is an undead paladin struggling with his dark side. They then ally with him and get the Orb, the rest is pretty straight-forward from there.

A quick comment--characters suck, the action is pretty uninteresting, and the material doesn't have the sense of scope it needs. In short, if you like the idea of a D&D movie as much as me, you're gonna hate this movie.

I'm personally hoping that Wizards stops these jokers from making this thing...

Wow, I really put the FURY in Nick Fury this time, didn't I. Fury outta here!
