We were hit by the news 5 days ago that Rutger Hauer had passed on. I loved him in films my big brother showed me like BLADE RUNNER, LADYHAWKE, THE HITCHER, NIGHT HAWKS, FLESH + BLOOD and so many more. Then all grown up in films like SIN CITY and most recently VALERIAN & THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS! His life was amazing on film. I need to track down those early Verhoeven films that he did.
