Ken with some casting news on Charlie Kaufman’s next one titled, I’M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS via Variety.
Toni Collette (HEREDITARY, SIXTH SENSE), Jessie Buckley (THE TEMPEST, TABOO), and David Thewlis (NAKED, THE BIG LEBOWSKI) are now cast in the coming Netflix film.
Ian Reid’s 2016 novel of the same name finds Jake (Jesse Plemons (GAME NIGHT, BREAKING BAD)) on a road trip to meet his parents. They live on a hard to reach farm but that’s not a problem, that his girl wants to dump him however, is. For those that have read the novel there’s a massive twist to this story. (Editor's note: Removed due to possible spoiler. However, i kept the graphic from HIGH TENSION because it's badass!)
Charlie Kaufman is writing, producing and directing so we can expect a beautiful dark film told with the quirky charm, only he can.
I love the idea of Charlie helming a horror movie. Not sure if he’s done that before, though BEING JOHN MALKOVICH feels like it dips into the territory.
Anyone else excited about this one?
What’s your favorite film Charlie wrote?
Personally, I’m just happy to see Toni work again. She deserved better, as we all know, for her role in HEREDITARY.
Til next time Kids
