Freddy Beans with a trailer for an action thriller titled, ACTS OF DESPERATION.
I could nitpick the trailer but who knows what they were dealing with. There were a couple spots I really liked. Morgan being dropped over an overpass. I kind of dug the local boys and the “Morgan Freeman” line.
The costume department did a fantastic job with Paul Sorvino, if they were going for a Mexican mafia look.
ACTS OF DESPERATION follows a desperate cop (Grillo) who finds out his wife (Morgan) is having an affair. Jason Gedrick plays Grillo but he’ll always be Doug Masters to most of us!
Grillo is tracking a bank robber, being blackmailed, and dealing with this affair, then things come to a non-Woo hard boil, in roughly 1h 45min.
This one is directed by Richard Friedman (HALFWAY TO HELL).
