STAR WARS EPISODE VII Is Nearly Finished Shooting…

This news bit isn’t terribly substantive, but in a reality in which precious little is fully understood about STAR WARS EPISODE VII, it’s something we can at least chew on for a few moments.

Speaking at the opening of Industrial Light and Magic’s London studio, Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the the filming of E7 is due to wrap in very short order…

“We are standing here within three weeks of finishing ‘Episode VII,’” said Lucasfilm prexy Kathleen Kennedy. “This continues a long tradition of filming ‘Star Wars’ in London, going back to 1976. It is remarkable this all came together in less than two years. ‘Star Wars’ is filmmaking that inspires technical excellence.”

…per THIS article in Variety.

This news comes hot on the heels of Warwick Davis’ reveal that he would be appearing in the film, the timing of which now suggests that he’s already lensed his part (the most likely scenario given how communication and secrecy is working on E7), or that he’s about to do so imminently.

STAR WARS EPISODE VII will release December 18, 2015.  I wonder how soon the lines will form…
