Here is the second trailer (see the first here) for Neil Jordan’s BYZANTIUM. The vampire tale stars Gemma Arterton (HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS; PRINCE OF PERSIA) and Saoirse Ronan (HANNA; ATONEMENT) as mother and daughter vampires.
I know vampire movies are all the craze now and some of you are just sick of them, but I think there is always room for an interesting one. This one certainly looks beautiful, erotic and with Neil Jordan returning to the genre where he made INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, there is a lot to be interested in. The reviews coming out of Toronto add to that interest.
IFC Films just bought the distribution rights which means we will see it VOD and in limited theaters June 28th, 2013.
