BBC Home Entertainment, AICN, And The Alamo Drafthouse Invite You To A Free Screening Of DOCTOR WHO: 'The Three Doctors'!!

Merrick here...

...bringing you word of an exciting screening opportunity for WHOvians old and new, tried and true.

BBC Home Entertainment, Aint it Cool News, and the Alamo Drafthouse have come together for a big-screen presentation of  the newly remastered classic DOCTOR WHO story “The Three Doctors.”  ‘Newly remastered’.  ‘Big screen’.  ‘DOCTOR WHO’.  Few notions on Earth could stir my heart as fully.

The episode is described thusly by BBC:

The Time Lords are in crisis. A powerful force is draining their energy into a mysterious Black Hole, and they must recruit the Doctor to save them. But when the third Doctor (Jon Pertwee) gets targeted by the force, they realize that one Doctor isn’t enough for this mission- they’ll need the help of the first Doctor (William Hartnell) and the second Doctor (Patrick Troughton) as well. All three of the Doctor’s incarnations, aided by Jo Grant and UNIT, must face the wrath of Omega – a fallen Time Lord trapped in a universe of anti-matter, with one thing on his mind: revenge.

In keeping with DOCTOR WHO’s longstanding tradition of transmitting on Saturday afternoons/early evenings, “The Three Doctors” will screen on Saturday March 24 at 1pm - at the amazing new Alamo Drafthouse location on Slaughter Lane here in Southwest Austin.

I’ll be present and hosting the event, which is FREE TO THE PUBLIC and is first come, first-served, although attendees can reserve a seat with a $5 food voucher which can be found HERE.

Fans are warmly encouraged to show up in their very finest WHOvian costumes and garb, or to flaunt their favorite WHOish paraphernalia. We’re currently assembling a nifty prize pack as well, which we’ll tell you more about later.

I’d like to offer my vast respect and appreciation to the fine folks at both BBC Home Entertainment and the Alamo Drafthouse, all of whom have worked tirelessly to make this unique opportunity a lovely reality.

The newly restored "Three Doctors" is now available for pre-order on DVD HERE.
