Another Familiar Face Is Returning For The New FAST AND THE FURIOUS Film!!

Merrick here...
Ealier this week, we learned that a former Miss Israel had been cast in the film. Now comes word that Michelle Rodriguez, fresh from shooting James Cameron's AVATAR, will reprise her role as "Letty" in the new movie. So says her official website, which you can find HERE. Among her many roles, Rodriguez appeared in the first FAST AND THE FURIOUS as the same character, did voice work for HALO 2, was a character in LOST, and even appeared in an Uwe Boll movie...undoubtedly the pinnacle of her career.

Get it? Yeah Gungan your right. Vin passed on the sequal due to he thought he had a career. I do appreciate his cameos in the others. I know he did one in Drift. Did he in 2? Who cares. Movies about cars I will never own. As for Rodrigiz. I hate her. She has the UP eyes. Drive me nuts. Bitch always looks like shes fucking looking UP! If I were to ever talk to her. And I wont because Im not a dyke or spend the night in jail cells. But IF I were ever to have a juan and juan with her and would be turning around all the time looking up thinking WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BITCH LOOKING AT?!?! Or I would be self consience because I would get the impression I had a huge zit on my forehead or something. I enjoy it when she dies. I would just prefer to see her cry when she does. Or maybe a nice Hostile death might make me feel better. I hate dudes that think shes hot.

    by Franklin T Marmoset

Grandmaster Fast And The Furious Five is my idea, and I am keeping my fingers furiously crossed that they will one day make it happen. Any Hollywood types reading this are welcome to take this title for free - it is too good to go unused.

  • March 6, 2008, 11:22 a.m. CST

    by GibsonUSA

Shouldnt they be thinking of things other than modified 350zs?

  • March 6, 2008, 11:23 a.m. CST

She does die in this movie

    by Reel American Hero

According to the plot summary with the last bit of Fast And The Fourious news her character gets killed off which results in Vin Diesel and Paul Walker re-teaming to avenge her death..or something like that. Yes, the movies and titles are ridiculously dumb, but they've all been fun movies so far. Hope the trend continues if they're going to keep making em.

  • March 6, 2008, 11:25 a.m. CST

I can't believe they were all available

    In other Furious news...

    by Franklin T Marmoset

When I read the title of this article, I was kind of hoping it was going to be Lucas Black who was returning. I like that guy, and he was a much more charismatic and interesting protagonist in part 3 than Paul Walker was in either of the first two.
Even so, I do like Michelle Rodriguez, so this is still decent news. Maybe she plays the same role over and over, but I don't care. She does it well, it's fun to watch, and, also, I secretly think she's sort of hot.
Damn, I gave that secret away at the end there...

  • March 6, 2008, 11:32 a.m. CST

    Someone once posted that Rodriguiz

    by skimn

Must've seen Aliens as a youth and decided to base her entire screen persona on Vasquez. Couldn't be more on the mark. Ironic that Cameron has a role for her in Avatar. BTW, directed by BOTH Uwe Boll and PWS Anderson?? Kudos Michelle.

ZOMBIE ZANDER...Diesel plays the part of zombie anyway..

  • March 6, 2008, 12:09 p.m. CST

    They need Lucas Black

    by Vern

I know it's been said but I thought I would use the power of my black box. With Diesel and Walker it's not that big of a deal because they were already together in the first one. But throw Black in there and it's like that one Star Trek movie where they had William Shatner AND Patrick Stewart.
Also bring back Sonny Chiba's character and teach him how to drive fancy neon colored cars so he can get more screen time.

  • March 6, 2008, 12:10 p.m. CST

    Or simply "xXx"

    by Motoko Kusanagi

    just use the three X's

  • March 6, 2008, 12:28 p.m. CST

    Hear that, Lucas Black?

    by Franklin T Marmoset

The power of Vern's black box compels you!
I would like to think this was enough to get Black on board, but it's not likely. He's a good actor, but it seems like he doesn't give much of a fuck about acting - according to imdb, he hasn't done anything since Tokyo Drift.

  • March 6, 2008, 12:31 p.m. CST

Yeah, this movie needs Lewis Black

    by Reel American Hero

Oh..Lucas Black, my bad. The kid from the last one, that'd be cool too.

What, Tara Reid wasn't available for the role of useless drunk skank #3? Oh wait, I guess since she was in one of the earlier films they had to give it to her.

  • March 6, 2008, 2:48 p.m. CST

    Bring back Lucas Black

    by Lance2769

I agree with Vern - Lucas Black needs to be in this movie. Part 3 left everyone hanging with the Vin Diesel cameo at the end. The continuation of that scene into this new movie needs to be explained. What happened between Vin and Lucas' characters? It's the only way to satisfy those of us who are interested in this franchise. Even if it's only a cameo appearance by Lucas. Otherwise, why even mix two different racing worlds by bringing in Vin at the end of part 3!! Another idea is to use any interesting, unused footage from the end of part 3 of Vin and Lucas, to kick off part 4.

I messed up my previous post.

    by Maestro610

I think they need to distance themselves from the numbers starting with this flick. Although whoever came up with The F4st and the Furious as a possible title was definitely on point with that. Getting your original cast back after some time away from the franchise should likely inspire the producers into serializing this thing a little more... It won't happen... Vin and Paul will either steal or help stop someone else from stealing something. They'll have to win a race for some reason and possibly have to call in the cavalry which will be Tyrese, Lucas Black, Ludacris and Devon Aoki. Michelle Rodriguez will be kidnapped and held as ransom or up for a long stretch and used as blackmail to get the guys back into the game. I don't know and I don't think it matters. I won't see this in the theatres but when its on cable I will inevitably indulge my car tuner fixation and give it a go, hating myself the whole way. Although if they put a Nissan engine into another classic muscle car I'm going to be sick. Oh and a 60's Mustang cant Drift down a mountain. I'd love to own a '66 Mustang Fastback or a '70 Dodge Challenger but those are meant for drag racing not cornering. He couldn't have found a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla for that last drift race? He did live in Japan...

    Ah, xXx2...

    by spud mcspud

Shorter. Fatter. Less able to act, yo.
Yep, bring the newly-family-friendly Cube up in here and watch him wreck tha franchise! By God, what a sell out. And way to kill a promising franchise, by the way: Diesel in xXx2 could've actually given us a viable spy franchise alternative worthy of ingonring that fucking snorefest CASINO ROYALE for. But no - we get Diesel in space. Again.
And while I REALLY enjoyed CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK - can't wait for pts 2 and 3 in the trilogy, which will never fucking happen now except in animation - I'd still like to see another Xander Cage adventure. I mean, ignoring the short movie: maybe Xander Cage ISN'T really dead: I mean, he's a spy, right? Faked his own death, maybe?
Anyway, fuck all this. My point is that both the PITCH BLACK trilogy (yes, I count DARK FURY) and the first xXx are both better than these shitfests. And BOILER ROOM burns al these motherfuckers down - it's a GREAT movie! So let's have some quality Vin movies again - and send these fucktard movies back where they belong...
2 FAT 2 FURIOUS - Ice Cube starring in TFATF5!!!
