So, it seems that the yummy-yummy Kate Bosworth is indeed SUPERMAN's main squeeze!!!

Hey folks, Harry here... My take on this? Well, Kate is the dead ringer for Lois' lil sister that dated Jimmy Olsen as is... but, you put her with black hair, in a yummy female reporter outfit with the coat and the mid-thigh business dress, the pillbox hat, red lipstick and a notepad and a pencil and she's the spitting image of Curt Swan's chipmunk cheeked Lois. But then, that's my take...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Sorry I'm a little late on this, but for some reason when the reports started coming in that Kate Bosworth was playing Lois Lane in Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN I didn't believe them. I have a few sources close to the production and hadn't heard a peep out of them about Ms. Lane being cast or even in the process of casting. So, it took Harry demanding I update with this story at this morning's screening of ASSAULT ON PRECINT 13 (don't believe the trailer, this movie is fuckin' hardcore and gritty and badass... everything you could want out of a film like this). If the BBC is reporting it, I suppose it's legit.

I'm trying to get used to this casting. I don't think it's bad in any way. I said in my BLUE CRUSH review that Kate Bosworth will be a big name in the near future. She has the charisma, the beauty and the talent. I'm more tied down to the original Donner films where Lois looked like a prettier than average woman, not the godlike beauty of Ms. Bosworth. It's also an age thing. Singer seems to like to cast his superhero movies very young. It's not a bad thing, just something that'll take me a little while to get used to.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Bosworth a few times and she is a total sweetheart and I wish her the best. Just remember what happened to Margot Kidder!!! Stay away from drugs, booze and dumpsters! You have very pretty teeth and I don't want you to break them off at the gumline!

Anyway, it looks like this is really happening this time out and I, for one, am glad that Singer and his team are leading the way. X2 is still one of the best comic book movies ever made and DC could sure use that particular respectful magic. What do you folks think?
