Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Look at that poster. It's literally a work of art. Iconic, simple, and damn does it make you instantly want to watch that movie.
Now, lower those expectations a little bit. The below poster isn't as amazing as the original (it is a licensing poster, afterall), but what it does do is instantly take you back to the original film, which is exactly what I want from David Gordon Green and Danny McBride's Halloween movie. The task they have before them is a big one. Hitting that mark without just once again remaking that original movie isn't going to be easy, but the feeling I get from those guys is they know it's going to be tough and at are at least aware of the minefield they're entering.
This poster promises the return to the simplicity of Michael Myers: The Boogeyman, not Michael Myers: The White Trash Behemouth or Michael Myers: Some Shit About Runes and Cults And Stuff?
Many thanks to Collider for grabbing this image while in Vegas for the big Licensing Expo. What do you guys think? Like it as much as I do? It's still early days. The script is still being written, but I have a good feeling about this one.
