GENISYS Producer: More TERMINATOR Will Be Announced This Year!!

I am – Hercules!!

David Ellison, 34, who founded and masterminds the Skydance production company and funds the Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, Jack Reacher, Jack Ryan, World War Z, G.I. Joe and Terminator franchises, tells Collider another Terminator movie will be announced before year's end:

“I will say we have resolved the future of the franchise and believe me its an incredibly bright future. I think where it’s going will be the continuation of what the fans really wanted since T2.

“We have something this year that we will be announcing for the franchise. It’s something we’re incredibly excited about and we think is the direction it needs to head.”

No word on whether Arnold Schwarzenegger (or Emilia Clarke or any one else from “Genisys”) will be back for this one, but the Governator has long sounded gung-ho about a follow-up to “Genisys,” which was budgeted at $155 million and went on to gross $440 million worldwide.

There's also long been scuttlebutt about James Cameron (writer-director of the first two and two best Terminator movies) godfathering at least one future Terminator movie.

Ellison, son of software billionaire Larry Ellison, also produced 2010’s Coen remake of “True Grit” and the Rogen-Streisand road comedy “The Guilt Trip.”
