Ahoy, squirts! Quint here, squatting in the corner of the Tampa Airport after having just gotten off a rather nerdy boat cruise, furiously trying to contain my geekout at the reveal of the title of Rian Johnson's Star Wars movie.
As you can see from the official teaser image above the title of Episode VIII is THE LAST JEDI. Let it soak in for a bit. The. Last. Jedi.
The obvious conclusion to jump to is that Luke is the titular Last Jedi, but here's something to keep in mind: the plural of Jedi is also Jedi, so it could quite possibly mean both Luke and Rey and, hell, a dozen other Jedi for all we know. Hell, is Ben Solo a Jedi underneath his not-quite-Sithness? So many questions!
It's always exciting when the actual Saga Films (aka the Episodes) get a big reveal and I have to think that us getting the title means the first teaser trailer is en route. I. Can't. Wait.
