Joel and Ethan Coen, who have heretofore only written and directed movies, have written a lengthy project they intend to direct for the small screen.
“According to sources, the scope of the project seemed too challenging to be covered in one feature film,” Variety says of the miniseries “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” which will weave together six storylines.
Variety says something about the project maybe having a big-screen component, but the report is short on details.
There’s no word with regard to plot, casting, how many episodes “Scruggs” will comprise, or which channel might be involved.
The Coens' movies include "Blood Simple," "Raising Arizona," "Miller's Crossing," "Fargo," "The Big Lebowski," "O Brother Where Art Thou?" "Burn After Reading," ""No Country For Old Men," "True Grit," "A Serious Man," "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "Hail, Caesar!"
