Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It seems every time I write about Assassin's Creed I pull out my "Video Game Movies Are The Next Big Thing, I Swear!" soapbox. I'll refrain from that this time out (or at least give it the ol' college try), but I will say that I'm mighty impressed with this new trailer for Assassin's Creed. It seems to capture the tone and pacing of the game with a definite sense of fun and a dash of weird-ass sci-fi thrown in for good measure.
All of that is pulled along by what appears to be a totally invested performance from Michael Fassbender. If this trailer is a true indicator of the movie we're going to get this December then maybe my prediction of a wave of actually good video game movies will come to pass.
